Alpha at St Mary’s

Come to dinner

You’re warmly invited to dinner at St Mary’s. Good food, good company, and a relaxed evening with no agenda beyond enjoying it.

It’s the first evening of Alpha, but just come, eat, see what you think. If you’d like to come again, wonderful. If not, that’s completely fine.

What is Alpha?

Alpha is a series of relaxed evenings exploring the basics of the Christian faith. The first evening is a shared meal; after that we’ll gather over coffee and cake, watch a short film opening up one big question (Is there more to life than this? Who is Jesus? Why is there suffering?) and then talk it over in a small group where everyone’s view is welcome.

Whether you'd call yourself a sceptic, a seeker, somewhere in between, or you simply fancy good company on a Wednesday night, you’re welcome exactly as you are. No judgement, no pressure, and you’ll never be put on the spot. Listen as much or as little as you like.
