There's been a church on this spot since the twelfth century and we love it most when our doors are open to the people around us!
As well as being a place of worship, St Mary’s is a space for the whole community - and both our rooms are available to hire.
Whether you're gathering two people or a hundred and twenty, planning a regular weekly class or a one-off celebration, St Mary’s offers a warm welcome, a lovely setting and everything you need to make the day run smoothly.
Our two spaces
The Main Church
A light-filled historic space with whitewashed walls, stained glass, soaring arches and a beamed roof - somewhere an event feels truly special. The flexible seating can be set out however you like or cleared away entirely, and there’s a raised platform, a piano, and full AV (microphones and projection) available free on request. Beautiful for concerts, recitals and rehearsals, and an equally natural place for talks, lectures, conferences, exhibitions and receptions.
Holds up to 120 standing / 80 seated.
The PARISH ROOM
A bright, welcoming and well-equipped room with its own kitchenette and patio doors that open straight onto the churchyard. Comfortable and flexible, with a ceiling projector and screen, it’s ideal for meetings, small groups, classes, workshops, children’s activities, training days and parties.
Holds up to 50 standing / 35 seated.
